Tex Murphy and the Poisoned Pawn
This story picks up from the end of Tex Murphy and the Tesla Effect. It's November 2050 and Tex has just returned to New San Francisco, where it appears that someone wants him dead. The question is: who? Count St. Germain, a mysterious traveler who played an important role in Tex's previous case, is certain it's someone Tex crossed paths with in a previous case. With St. Germain's unique assistance, Tex returns to his past, starting with his very first case, to try to identify his nameless adversary. Intriguing new connections between his cases are revealed, along with shocking discoveries about what happened all those years ago...and how those events are about to change his future.

Mir alles recht ... ich will Tex Murphy spielen!

@UndyingSpite Und wenn Du was sagen darfst, immer her damit, wir sind hier doch ganz leise. ;-)

https://bigfinishgames.com/may-2021-update/

Kickstarter Big Box:
The Ultimate Detective Box Set:
When we promised this incentive, we weighed the options for producing the physical packaging for ‘The Ultimate Detective Box Set.’ Unfortunately, at the time, printing a “big box” was prohibitively expensive! We had to make a call: Overspend our budget and risk not being able to deliver Tesla Effect, or compromise with a smaller disc case instead. It’s almost as if the industry decided at one point big boxes were too expensive to produce and stopped doing it.

But, regardless of this justification, many backers were disappointed with the offering. While they were delivered the “contents” of what was promised, how it was delivered was considered unsatisfactory.

Thankfully, the costs of printing big boxes have reduced significantly in recent years, enabling us to revisit this incentive and hopefully come good on our original promise. We have designed a proper Big Box for the Ultimate Detective Box Set, and are in the process of getting a prototype printed and assembled. If we are happy with the quality and costs we will go ahead and do a limited run to meet the number of eligible backers.

While printing costs have reduced significantly, shipping has not, so we will be keeping a close eye on rates in an attempt to avoid it once again becoming prohibitive before we commit to delivery.

Tex Murphy, the Ultimate Detective Box Set artwork in 3D.

Important note: If we do reach the stage where we are ready to ship these boxes out to eligible backers, we will be shipping them out as empty boxes. This is because backers already received the contents of the box set, which they can place inside. Also, because we no longer have full access to the mailing details of eligible backers, we will be creating an online claim form for backers to submit and claim their big box, and provide up-to-date shipping information. More on that as we get closer.

The dimensions of the new box will match your other Tex Murphy big boxes exactly. This should earn it a spot on your shelf next to the other titles!

Mindestbeitrag: 500 US$
* The Ultimate Detective box set of "Under a Killing Moon", "Pandora Directive", and "Overseer" in special edition Collector’s Box.

Oh, eine "Kickstarter" E-Mail. :D

The Pandora Directive Anniversary/Remaster
Another piece of news that many of you who follow us on social media may know is the Pandora Directive remaster project. Over the past few years, a small team within Big Finish Games consisting of Mat Van Rhoon, Doug Vandegrift, Adrian Carr, and Aaron Conners had been revamping and remastering The Pandora Directive’s source content for a planned remaster.

It’s been a very involved and painstaking process over the past few years, and you can read up on it on Big Finish Games’ website here: https://bigfinishgames.com/news/ as well as check out all the progress videos Mat has posted to the Big Finish Games YouTube (playlist).

Some of you may be wondering about the status of that project, and this response comes from the team who has thus far dedicated their spare hours to get the project to where it is today…

Until now, the team had been dedicated to remastering the full motion video from the original tapes (into 4K), cutting all-new edits of the cinematic sequences, redesigning the game environments, remastering the sound and music, and modernizing the game design. For the most part, those tasks have now been conquered, and the logical next step would be to get the band back together again to march the project towards the finish line. However, that will require more than a part-time, passion project level of dedication. The entire team will need to be back on board 100%. Anything else would disrespect both the project’s contributors and critical stakeholders. Not everybody is available or willing to commit to this right now. However, many of us who still want to complete this project will remain on standby until the entire team is ready to engage and support it together.
