Very excited to be presenting the Demo for Lammana as part of the Steam Next Fest. This game is made by myself, developer Jonathan Boakes - Darkling Room, based in Looe, Cornwall, which is also the setting of Lammana, all be it in the 1920s.
Lammana is an adventure mystery… as you play the ‘Found Footage’ of William H Boston, presented in a modern day gallery in NYC, where Boston began his adventure. He vanished in 1924, never to be seen again, some say 'foul play', others claim madness and isolation. What brought Boston to Cornwall? Why did he meticulously record his every activity?
All is revealed as you progress through the mystery. Help us work out what happened to William, witness the strange and disturbing footage, and solve the mystery that surrounds Lammana, the ancient name for the island off Looe which Boston made home.
Spoilers – The demo presents you with a slice of gameplay, introducing the setting, presenting some characters, uncovering clues and items and then diving beneath the waves to investigate. All of this, and much more you’ll find in the full game, screenshots and trailers.
Please add the game to you Steam Wishlist.

LAMMANA DEMO launching tonight.
My next game has a big demo launching this evening, as part of a gaming festival. Looking forward to it. It’ll be the first demo I’ve done since Dark Fall back in 2001. My other games went straight to shelves or stores, so this will be interesting. Big very random audience. I’ll say now that the game is quite weird, a bit like The Lost Crown, so it won’t be to everyone’s tastes. But if you like the idea of an eccentric trip to Cornwall, in the 1920’s, with point and click action, puzzles, inventory, conversations and old school animation, this could be the PC game you’ve been waiting for.
