Also ich konnte die 32 Bit Anwendung, die nicht mit 64 Bit kompatibel ist, auf meinen Vista 64 mit DosBox zocken, wenn du sowas meinst.

Und ja, so ein Thread für deine Patches, wäre wohl mehr als angebracht, solch eine tolle Arbeit darf doch nicht auf einer Festplatte verstauben!

Das funktioniert aber nicht, wenn die 32-Bit-Anwendung nach einer neueren Windows-Version verlangt...

Es gibt 32-Bit-Windows-Programme, die sich auf einem 64-Bit-Windows nicht einmal installieren lassen, und diesbezüglich hätte es mich interessiert, ob so etwas im Nachhinein behebbar ist - immerhin funktionieren ja auch eine Menge 32-Bit-Spiele problemlos auf einem 64-Bit-Betriebssystem.

I have downloaded the patch to install Black Dahlia. Everything runs smoothly, except I don't see any English subtitles, although in de bd.ini subtitles has the value 1. What could be wrong here?

The No-Scannline patch does not deliver Enhlsih subtitles, but I am sure there is a patch which does. Maybe ask Basti.

Have you surely checked that subtitles is set to 1 in the bd.ini AFTER you have applied the patches? Because these patches reset several settings in the bd.ini.

Basti: yes, I have looked at the bd.ini and the value was already set to 1 with subtitles, I didn't have to change it anymore.

I'm not sure, if every version of Black Dahlia offers subtitles anyway. Probably, your version just doesn't have subtitles included? I could be wrong, but I also think, there is a subtitles option somewhere in the game (not sure, however)...

If I install the game from my cd's, and apply the patch (1.10) (NOT yours), I get subtitles, but the game doesn't run smoothly.

When I apply your new install patch, and I copy the game .exe file (from previous install with patch), I get subtitles, but again the game doesn't run smoothly and is choppy because of the old exe.file based on previous Windows versions). So apparently as soon as the videos are patched with the new install patch from you, and the scanlines and multi-pocessor patch are applied, it overruns the English subtitles in the game.

john_doe hat seinen Code vom Scanline-Patch, den du in deinen integriert hast, schließlich auch veröffentlicht.

So, ich habe jetzt Black Dahlia mit dem Patch Scanlinefreiheit und Festplatteninstallation und dem letzten offiziellen Patch durchgespielt. Folgende Filme haben noch immer Scanlines:
Fast alle dieser Filme sind Sequenzen mit Erzählung von Jim. Vielleicht könnt ihr das in Version 1.1 des BD-Patches beheben.

Hab mich für dieses "Danke" an basti extra angemeldet.
Seit Monaten bin ich auf der Suche nach einer Möglichkeit BD ans Laufen zu bekommen.
Mit Hilfe des Patches war nun endlich eine Installation möglich und bis
jetzt läuft das Spiel auf winXP SP3 anstandslos (ca. 3 Stunden gespielt).

I can confirm that the subtitles are disabled on your patch, even with the 'subtitles = 1' on bd.ini
The subtitles are enabled on my game with the 'official' 1.10 patch, just like kriebelken. But we all know the errors.

Can you enable it on yours too Basti?

Can you send me the game .exe that seems to load the subtitles correctly but doesn't run smoothly?
I tried around a little bit - the german version does not have overriden subtitles with the patch, interesstingly.
