I think that this shows good, why there are such a few translated games availible.

The question (English games yes or no) has been discussed a few times yet, but unfortunately we still have no solution. And because “Maniac Mansion Mania” was explicitly founded as a German project, translations have a low priority. But maybe you will find someone, who sends you an pre-translated version of his game, then you can finish the translation and the game can be released in English.

(Wow, ich habe meinen englischen Text mal in einen Übersetzer eingegeben, und es kam beim zweiten Satz tatsächlich: „Und weil "Maniac Villenmanie" ausdrücklich als deutsches Projekt gegründet wurde, haben Übersetzungen eine niedrige Priorität.“ raus. )

As far as I know some people are already working on new translations. But honestly I doubt that there will be translations for EVERY game. There are nearly untranslatable games among them (like MMM episode #4). And a few episodes are quite silly and probably not worth translating (but I'm not going to tell you which episodes, )

And making a translation is not easy. For a good translation we need a translator with both very good german and english language skills, with knowledge in Lucas Arts games (for understanding the injokes), and ofcourse with much time
If you understand german very good and feel able to translate one of the episodes in your own language, then - I guess - best would be you contact the corresponding author directly and offer your help.

But you must know, German language skill is not only translating in Google, I know some games that have done this

Mit welcher Arroganz hier vom Gast "Blair" von den Autoren für "jedes einzelne Spiel" eine Übersetzung gefordert wird, ist unglaublich. Als wenn es eine triviale Sache wäre, eine qualitativ hochwertige Übersetzung von einer reichhaltigen in eine ebenso ausdrucksstarke Sprache zu erstellen.

Nun krieg dich mal wieder ein. Dass er den Aufwand unterschätzt, ist offensichtlich, aber "please make translations available" kann man ja nun weiß Gott nicht als unverschämtes Fordern bezeichnen.

Don't translate the text in google. Example:

Google hat geschrieben:The best way of plays on the English language to translieren is on Google.

Was würde passieren, wenn ich ins englische AGS-Forum schriebe: "Tach auch! Bin 'n Riesenfan! Bitte stellt für jedes einzelne Spiel deutsche Übersetzungen bereit. Wenn ihr so freundlich wäret, die Datein zu mailen. Danke."

Aber sicher der Herr, nur die Übersetzungen oder noch 'ne Pommes und 'n Getränk dazu?

Tja, das erinnert mich doch an die Zeiten, als es ewig gedauert hat, bis man mal eine vernünftige deutsche Version für Spiele, Filme, Bücher, etc. bekommen hat.
Für die ersten Sierra-Adventures hat's ja soviel ich weiß nie eine Lokalisierung gegeben.

Mich hat das allerdings immer angespornt Englisch zu lernen. Hardcore MM-Fans von Auswärts können ja mal versuchen etwas Deutsch zu lernen.
Allerdings ist es schon toll, dass dieses MMM-Projekt auch im Ausland Anklang findet.

Yes I've played all the English versions which is why I am asking for more games to be translated. And why isn't episode 4 translatable?

Because Episode 4 is just a huge poem

Ich weiß nicht, aber ich glaube kaum, dass die nächsten Spiele nur noch aus Dialogen mit "Wie heißt du?", "Guten Tag" und "Wie geht es dir?" bestehen
Und sobald unser Gast ausreichend Deutsch spricht, sind wir schon bei Episode 70

Also mein Mitbewohner im Studentenwohnheim (Amerikaner) kann sehr gut deutsch... So schwer kann das gar nicht sein, deutsch zu lernen.
