Is there going to be a DRM-free version of this game? Especially without Steam? Maybe GOG? :-"
Is it point&click... playable just with a mouse?
How much in percent is "adventure-like" and how much is fights, mini-games etc?

DRM-free version is planned. For GOG, I hope so (if the game meet their requirements). I want to give everyone the option between Steam and a DRM-free version.
The game is playable with keyboard or controllers (not that much inputs^^).
For your last question, I can quote myself:
Like classical adventure games you can speak with (strange) characters, collect items, resolve puzzles.
And yes, side elements like fights, mini-games, “Ultranet” and a few more(most of them are optional).
In a lot of adventure games, you need to do some “things” before going into a new location. For example: If you don’t speak with this “X” character or grab this “Y” item, you can’t go anywhere. The game is “stuck in time” and wait the player.
When you start Asylopole you can already discover the megalopolis, the asylum, some stores, restaurants, read recent comments, send messages… Of course you can just follow the main quest and ignore some locations / characters. But if you want, you can explore, unlock side quests, eventually fight villains, etc and learn more about the background. The game isn’t linear.
By doing more quests, you gain exp for improve your stats. Stats are useful for fighting things. So yes it looks a bit like a RPG but this is not the core of the game.
In percent, hum let me think... "70 or 80% adventure".

This sounds very well! Exept one thing... at least for me.
I neither like playing with a controller nor with a keyboard. I'm an old fashioned P&C player. Mouse rules!!!
Any chance for a "just mouse" mode? *very much hoping for something linke that*
After all... you called it an old-school-adventure-game.

An adventure game isn't necessary a point'n'click, I can give you some old school adventure games with keyboard / controllers only.

More seriously I got your idea, I'm open to any suggestions. If I can implement the mouse control and if the mouse control fit well with the game design, why not.

For example, Gabriel Knight may be weird with a keyboard. Little Big adventure with a mouse looks strange too, same for Dark Earth (have you tried this masterpiece ?).

I have played just GK of the ones you mentioned.
Btw one of my favourites.
I just never get along with keyboard controlls. Seems I'm too stupid or clumsy for that.
Concerning controllers... Let's say I made some bad experience with that. I just have a no-name-one, most games I tried to play with it didn't support it. Which controllers will be supported by your game?
It just is a personal preference of mine to play games just with a mouse.

I really like pushing the player-character around. Makes me feel somehow powerful.
I hope you understand what I'm writing. My English really sucks.

Yes GK is one of the best adventure game ever and a great inspiration for me. Especially the first one (I don't like the remake that much).
The game can support many controllers, not only Xbox or playstation controllers. I have a non-name at home.

Of course, some games have so much inputs that you get lost quickly. Fortunately, Asylopole only use (generally) directional input, and 2 buttons (1 for menu/Cancel, 1 for interaction) . But, I will look for Mouse if possible.

Can't say much about the remake. I preordered it to support the developers, but never found the time to actually play it. Maybe I'm not so eager to do so, because the original still works fine for me, even after so many years.
The screenshots I saw look very shiny. Not especially what the game is like.

I thank you very much for considering that.

It is always wonderful to see that the wishes of players are paid attention to.
I very much like deep characters in opposite to plain figures. I like going deep into the psyche of charakters. Your description sound like exactly that.
I'm looking forward to your game and very much hope it will be available on GOG. [-o<
And I'm very sorry that I cannot help you with greenlight, since I'm not a member at Steam. But if I was, I would vote for your game!

For me, the GK remake have problems: Gabriel have a new weird face and a new voice (why they change the perfect Tim Curry voice ?), bugs, etc.
Sadly they didn't make GK4...
Here my little collection:

signed by Tim Schafer himself.

Don't worry about greenlight. You can also help if you share the information. [-o<
At the moment, I talk about the game in some websites but it's pretty difficult to have attention. But I still believe that people want games made with passion and heart and not only big AAA games.

I know what you mean. I haven't played the game, but I've read the e-comic. I really don't understand why JJ changed Gabe's look.
and a new voice (why they change the perfect Tim Curry voice ?)
As far as I read, the original sound-files got somehow lost. And nowadays someone like Tim Curry is far too expensive to hire.
Besides that he would not have been available, since he suffered a stroke around that time.
