Hallo Leute!

Sorry. Despite all classes in highschool, our German is just terrible. Luckily, we have our good friend and point&click enthusiast Thomas Faust ( http://indiegametranslations.com/) helping us out and he has just finished the German text translation of The Journey Down: Chapter One.

We need some help from native German speakers to test the new translated beta version. If you want to give it a shot (And currently own TJD1 on steam), right click The Journey Down: Chapter One in the Steam Library and click Properties. Go to the Beta-tab and enter code 'captainkaonandodo' to unlock the Beta branch in the drop down. Once you've switched to the Beta branch there and waited for the download to finish you can play the latest build through Steam.

The beta is available for windows and os x, linux will come layer. Huge thanks to all and any that wish to help out in any which way. You are awesome!

Please report any language or technical issues that you run into!

No, it´s too much now to test.

No idea who this Mr. Faust is and whether his translations into German are worth their salt (will continue to not know until Humble gets those subtitles), but I'll say! The English copy on his website is good stuff.

My graphic card (GTX 480) broke down 2 days ago and now I'm on a not so nice resolution. Not sure when I'm able to fix it because we prepare everything for our move back to my hometown..
Can't playtest "The Journey Down: Chapter One" or "The Order of the Thorne - The King's Challenge" right now

I'll have a look at the beta as soon as the linux build is ready.

i have not played the game before. Language is good so far
I have the following technical issues:

1) When Im in the Frisko Freeze 2000 and i put the gum on the button while the ventilation is on, it went off, the gum is gone and Im stuck in the Frisko Freeze. Did not try this while not in betamode.

2) Allways when i try to look at the Armando Railway Maintenance Card i get a CTD with a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error. As I switched back to non beta it worked.

3) I had 3 not reproducible CTDs.

Im not completely through. For today i finished before using the elevator to the Railway the first(?!?!) time.

I'm curious why the game isn't starting on your laptop. Any error messages? Does the normal version (non-beta version) work properly on your laptop? What computer and OS are you using?
