Hello everyone

Belgian programmer, 44 years old and passionate of point and click games since I was 15y, I developed my adventure game.

His name : Where is my family.

It is a story of Ben, 12 years old, comes home after school. Because of his poor grades in school, his mom locks him in his room for the rest of the day.

A few hours later, when everything is quiet in the house, an intruder breaks in and kidnaps his mother and his little brother.

Locked in his room, Ben is unable to help them.

What to do? Call the police? Call his dad?

Adventurous and full of courage, he starts to investigate by himself and plans to find out the cause of their kidnapping.

The scenario offers many surprises and you will spend many hours discovering the story of Ben, little clumsy kid trying to find his missing parents. His whimsical character will not make his life easier…

The game will be available on Windows, Mac and Linux full French, subtitled in English (the translation of the final version will be made by a professional translator).

Just my 2 cents: You should urgently change the english translation of the shown screenshot textes:

- "Look at public notice" or "Examine public notice" instead of "Look public notice"
- "Talk to barman" instead of "Talk barman"

Several people have asked me about the content of the game and focus on the age group allowed to play.

Although the scenario seems tragic, the game contains no violence, and is for all ages. the script contains a lot of humor and is "safe" to do no shock people and to allow everyone to have fun for many hours. guaranteed game without violence!

Ben have now 3 outfits available in the closet of his room. You can change it during the game.

When the game becomes available, it will be (if accepted), available on the Steam platform (to be confirmed later). If the game is purchased on my website, there will be a DRM-free version, and a Steam key will be included.

Important decision about my point and click "Where is my family"

About me : passionate of computers and point and click games since I was 15y (I'm now 44). I started alone this project, helped by various people for music, voice and sound effects. The project's success will increase my motivation. You offer the full game filled me with joy. My wish is to share my improvements on the game and give you lots of fun with this game.

Until today, it was planned commercialization of the game and win a crownfunding campaign to help me improve it and market the game.

But after several sleepless nights have thought, and after receiving the advice of professionals, I decided:

- Do not worry, I continue the development of the game.
- The improvements are all valid and the final version will contain important improvements, both in the entertainment and the content in general.

Wimfgame

Since July 1, the new demo is available. Here are new compared to the old version:

- Character improved, better integrated with sets of the game.
- New character animations.
- Adding facial animations.
- Ben's house was the only place in the playable old demo version (1.06). The new demo now included 3 different locations (5 additional playable rooms). Now a total of 9 playable locations. The final version will exceed 40 rooms.
- New start and options menu.

Corrections :

- Savegame problem fixed.
- Size of graphics and animations optimized.
- Various pathfinding problems solved.
- Exit icon in the examination of objects completely redone.
- Set of bug fixes

The free game is scheduled for September 2016.

Two years ago, I was developing a point-and-click adventure game on Pc, Mac and Linux, which tells the story of Ben, a 12-year-old teenager who watches helplessly for the kidnapping parents. Being locked up in his room, he does not manage to rescue them, and when he reaches the door, it is already too late.

What then? To call the police ? Calling his father?

Rash and full of courage, he decides to seek them alone and discover the cause of the rapture.

The baseline scenario promises many twists and turns by letting you spend many hours discovering his story, helping him solve puzzles throughout the adventure, while encountering several crazy characters.

I had too much instability of the game to release a stable version. For a few weeks now, a new version of the engine I use (Visionaire studio) has been released (version 5.0), which has allowed me to improve a lot of points to offer a more stable, less resource intensive game, And of a much better quality.

I take advantage of these improvements to add additional scenes, improve the whole game and integrate new characters.

The game will always be available on Windows, Mac and Linux in full French, subtitled English

Here are the latest news of the game. The release of the game is not very far. Game always planned on Windows, Mac and Linux.
I added :
-New characters (NPC) in several scenes.
- Worked with the particle engine to make more life to the scenes (wind, dust, fog, flying leaves, etc ...).
- All the scenes are now optimized and I removed the superfluous. The game is therefore less resource intensive.
- I also put some new personal musical compositions.
- Several rooms have also been added to increase the life of the game and add some intrigue.
